A brief history

The Southern Arizona Nurse Honor Guard (SANHG) was formed in February of 2021 and began meeting in August. Originally started in the Tucson area in 2018 as the Pima chapter of the Arizona Nurse Honor Guard, we decided we could better serve the needs of southern Arizona as our own entity so we reorganized and formed SANHG.

Where we are today

We have met monthly since our reorganization and hold our dinner meetings at a central location encouraging all to attend. Aside from our services, other activities include performing the Blessing of the Hands ceremony at the VA Hospital, conducting a general tribute for all nurses at the annual Tucson Fab 50 Healthy Fair luncheon, and attending professional nursing conferences to share our mission with other nurses.
